Two Hands Holding Food

What started off as an amusing challenge between a seasoned chef and a xennial wannabe-chef turned out to be an interesting MiKS of old meets new in everything from the age-old dough of manakeesh, kaak, and saj to the medley of ingredients encompassing several eras – instead of the normal MiKS of cheese in a kaake, cream cheese and chips crept their way in; a normal manouche became the base for a juicy steak fillet; everything was MiKSed and matched to create MiKS

MiKS is a modern Levant bakery that twists traditional, local tastes with current, international ingredients for a fusion of flavors.

All our dishes use authentic staples mixed with modern elements for delectable delights. The north’s pure olive oil, the south’s fine pomegranate molasses, or the valley’s exquisite thyme mix together with the west’s flavorsome cheese or the east’s zesty spices for a delicious creation. From village streets to the urban dweller, we’re a mix of flavors, tradition, and modernity.
